How much to install EV charging at home
Well, it depends. To clarify, the key aspects that affect your EV charging installation costs include the station you install, the scope of installation works, and the amount of material to use. However, fortunately, there are some factors that may cut your costs – an OZEV grant and the company’s special offering. So, when it comes to how much to install EV charging at home with us, your expenses may be just £1,094 plus VAT.
Before we get started
To start with, EV charging installation cost includes the cost of EV charger and costs of work to fit the device into your premises. Fortunately, you can benefit from our Trade-In offer and cut up to 10% off the EVSE cost. All you need to do is just send us your old EV charger.
So, when choosing, for example, one of our electric vehicle charging stations, your installation costs may start from £1,732.9:
- From £1.449 for an EV charging hardware
- Up to £144.9 off in exchange for your old EVSE
- From £140 for its installation, which includes 3 metres of cabling
- From £288.8 for VAT
However, if the installation requires some additional works or a longer cable, your expenses will be higher.
The OZEV grant to reduce your EV charging installation costs
To go further, you may get up to £350 off in addition to any other discounts and offerings. Of course, only if you are eligible for the grant and some other conditions are met:
- Your electric vehicle is on the eligible list
- The EV charger you are going to install is on the list of approved stations
- The EV charger installer you are going to hire is on the list of verified installers
- Your property meets all the installation and eligibility requirements (consider the amendment that comes into effect from April 2022)
While the first and last bullet points are in the field of your control, the other ones are in the field of our competence. To clarify, some of our EV charging stations are already included in the list of EVHS approved stations.
