How to use our charging station

Quick guide: How to use our stations

At Auto-E, we developed the AutoEco-Factor app. The app enables you to find an Auto-E station quickly and start a charging session easily. In this post, we provide a step-by-step guide on how to take full advantage of our EV chargepoing station network via the app.

1. Install the app and sign up

Depending on your smartphone, open the App Store or Play Market and enter “AutoEco-Factor” in the Search bar. The app download and use are absolutely free. Moreover, it does not contain ads.

Then, create your account. For this, tap “More”. Then, tap “Sign In”, and enter your phone number. To verify your phone number, enter a one-time code the system will send you in SMS.

2. Find a station

With AutoEco-Factor, you have access to any station of the Auto-E Network public and commercial EV charger network. In short, there are three ways to find an available station:

  • Allow the app to access your geolocation, and it will show you the charge points located in your area
  • View the map to find your targeted location and the charge points available in that area
  • Tap the Search icon, enter a city you target, and you will see a list of charging points available there

To make your search easier, use an app filter. To clarify, select your targeted charging port type, and you will see only the stations that are equipped with it. Also, for your convenience, we use colour marks:

  • Green colour for the stations that are available for public charging and provide only slow charging
  • Orange colour for the stations that are available for public charging and provide fast charging
  • Grey colour for the stations that are either offline or not available for public charging

At last, to learn about the current station status and charging fees, tap the station you select. Moreover, for each charging point, you will see one of the following station statuses:

  • Available
  • Connected
  • Charging
  • Idle

3. Start your charging session

First, plug in your vehicle to arrange a physical connection to the station. The station status will turn from “Available” to “Connected”. Then, tap the “Charge” tab in your app, scan the QR code you will find on the station casing, and tap “Start charging”. The charging session will start, and the station status will turn to “Charging”.

4. Track your charging session

With the app, you can track your charging session. To clarify, a lot of session data is available for you during the session. The most important of them are as follows:

  • How many kWs you consumed
  • How much you were charged for these kWs
  • Your current EV battery level

At last, you can view your previous charging session in your balance history. Note, charging is provided only to the users with sufficient balances. The minimum amount of charging is £5. The minimum top-up amount is £10.
