EV Charging Plugs and Cables Compatible with Ford
At Auto-E, we produce charging stations compatible with Ford Focus Electric and Ford C-Max Energi.
Ford Focus Electric
Ford Focus Electric is a pure electric car. Despite its rather small battery of only 23 kWh (the usable capacity here is 19.6 kWh), its real electric range is good 68 miles. Perhaps, this is because the battery does not have to provide large power – only 107 kW (145 ph).
How to charge
To feed this car, you can use only alternating current (AC). The vehicle has an on-board charger of 3,6 kWh AC and either a Type 1 or Type 2 connector. Rapid DC charging is not available for this model as there is no fastcharge port here and the on-board charger is not designed to receive direct current. For filling the battery of this car model, use our EV solutions. We can equip our EVSE with both Type 1 and Type 2 cables to make our station fully compatible with Ford Focus Electric.
Ford C-Max Energi
Ford C-Max Energi is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. For the electric ride, the model has a 7.6-kWh battery (with a usable capacity of 6.1 kWh and a maximum power of 136 kW (185 hp). So, on average, the car can ride about 20 miles on a single electric charge.
How to charge
The car battery can receive only alternating current. Its maximum input capacity is only 3.6 kWh. For AC fast charging, the vehicle can have a Type 1 or Type 2 port (depending on its specification). Our EV chargers are suitable for Ford C-Max Energi as you can always choose a Type 1 or Type 2 cable option.
